2. What color are your socks right now? none - it's a working-in-my-bathrobe day (with ratty, once-white disposable slippers from a hotel in Japan)

28. Who is the friend you have had the longest that you are sending this to? Of the regular readers of this blog (that I'm aware of), the one I've known the longest is Dichroic.
29. Who is the friend you have had the shortest that you are sending this to? I think the most recent addition to my friendslist isgateway_girl. (We actually met at Lumos, but I'm slow and inconsistent about linkadoodledoos.)
30. Favorite smells? Husband, garlic, basil, clean dog.
31. Who inspires you? Maria Mitchell, Caroline Herschel, the writers who make their stories known... I'm actually completely hopeless at astronomy, but I like reading about it.
32. What are you afraid of? Accidentally causing harm. Insects with stingers. Music with more than four sharps or flats.
