Local friends and I had a "Friendsgiving" party tonight, with turkey etc., for which I made three pans of roasted fennel with Parmesan and prepared a small pot of vegetable stock from the fennel detritus and half an onion that had been sitting in the fridge for far too long. (I haven't yet decided whether to make soup with the stock or to use it in the rice cooker as the cooking liquid.) The fennel itself went over quite well, so at least I know that's one recipe my friends enjoy. ^^;;
