AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Woke up with a plotbunny. A vicious plotbunny. A plotbunny that's not going to leave me alone until I depict Remus Lupin collaborating with Sawa Nagisa on a script that then sends Iwaki and Katou to a drama festival in Kentucky --

*cries* [insanejournal.com profile] snapelike, what have you done to me? *wails*

---

I have also just been molested by the most aggressively affectionate cafe cat I've ever met. Moggies do tend to like me, but I've never encountered one that climbed onto my chest and then repeatedly headbutted my chin as the BYM hastily rescued my Cubano. It can't be a BPAL reaction, I didn't put any on today...

*cough* Um... er...

Can we talk about that when I'm done having Iwaki and Katou filming in Manchester, near Spinner's End?

You are? Excellent!

...and it turns out my bunny's neither Harou nor HP after all. After I wrestled with it some more, I realized its main character isn't actually Katou, nor is the older man he ends up drinking with at the Rudyard Kipling actually Remus Lupin. Which should make this bunny significantly easier to tame (= no canon to reconcile = far less backstory in the way), although it's still going to be a !@#@#! to pull together.

Oh, well... As long as bunnies are sprouting... *grins* Should I feel guilty in any way? Not that I ever will...

And I am. /slightly surrealistic reply

Sign a new fandom has its claws in you: waking up in a swanky hotel room with a vision of its lead characters, um, enjoying the amenities. Which somehow did NOT evaporate upon me being squished next to a luggage trolley stacked with equipment for a film shoot. ;-)

However, thirty-six hours and half a phonepad later, the bunny's definitely morphed into the start of an original fic. Which means one part of me's going "Hey, a story I can try to sell once it's done!", another part of me going "Damn, no waiting audience for this one," a third part of me going "Huzzah! Now I don't have to break my brain trying to reconcile two canons + personal AU!" (since I'd been flirting with bringing back the Snape and Lupin from "Just Like Strangers Here"), a fourth part rather surprised and pleased that I already have Katou, Iwaki, and Sawa enough in my head to realize when I've gone OC (and what to do about it), and yet another part already pointing out that the sooner I truly deal with this bunny instead of merely swearing at/about it, the sooner I can free up that part of my brain to indulge in some smutterrific Harudaki PWP.

(Oh yes, it's so fun to be me when I'm in the throe--wait, that's not coming out right. And it was an awesome mini-vacation (in spite of Pericles getting rained out midway through the fourth act). The hotel had bright red shoulder-high penguin statues everywhere, and my brain didn't automatically pair any of the penguins with any fictional characters -- not even Katou or the Squid -- so I should be thankful for small mercies, shouldn't I.)

*affectionately headbutts tree a la pushy feline*
*pads away to make some bubble tea*

Ooo, welcome back from mini-vacation! *smooch* I have to admit, the penguins would have freaked me out.
Also, film shoot? *filmmaker ears perk up* Yours, or random hotel guest?
Um, I'm a waiting audience for your original fic. *hint hint* ;D
Katou/Squid? Nah. hee.
I was thinking of you this morning at my monthly visit to the local Pagan service. The teaching part of the morning was all about compassion, and the symbol we focused on was the WILLOW! Well, I was so massively distracted by gigglesnort fic ideas for you and the *ahem* "compassionate" willow, I completely missed the point. Actually, that is not true, I got the point, and simultaneously had inappropriate willow thoughts. I was multitasking. You are a very bad influence. :D
*swipes your bubble tea, gives you head scratches*

Filmmaker = unknown crew member from some company based in New York/Boston. Apparently it was the last day. I probably should have tried to find out more...

I have been brooding over why I've fallen so hard for Haru wo Dateita so quickly, which has to do with people passionate about both work and love = bulletproof kinks, which may end up being posted as meta at some point, but my current urge is to sublimate it all into new stories. Which are all on back burners at the moment. *glares at Must Be Dealt With stacks*

GLEE! *snatches up bundles of carrots and beckons to your bunnies...*

*purrs and demands more scritchings*

My old tiger cat Arrow once walked right up to a visitor, held up his right front paw until she shook hands and asked him how he was, and then jumped in her lap and fell asleep.

She had been in the house for less than five minutes.

Your guest deserves major props for knowing to ask Arrow how he was. :-)
