Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. Contending with rampant regrets and mortification and tedium. But also dancing to old INXS cassettes.

So far: 39 books hauled to the car; countless magazines binned. My study is going to be guest-ready by Friday, dammit!

Any of you have a sangria recipe you'd recommend? (The ones in my cookbooks aren't inspiring me.)

I made some sangria last summer that was a huge hit. My most restrained friends were partaking very liberally, and all were quite enthusiastic. I found it on Epicurious...

*goes to off to niffle out said recipe*

Our sangria recipe goes something like this:

In a large pitcher, combine a bottle of red wine with a pint of brandy and 2 cups of fruit juice. Add sliced oranges, pineapple wedges, lime wedges, and mango. Let flavors combine for an hour or two while the pitcher chills.

Mmm. Now I want sangria. *g*

Cleaning is good. Tedium and regrets not so much, but dancing or singing while cleaning are both good. And hopefully the results will be good and make you smile. Good Luck!

My one suggestion is not to use too many apples -- they don't add much in flavor, but they do suck up a lot of alcohol. So you end up with pickled apples and fruity wine coolers, which is not ideal!
