Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. Contending with rampant regrets and mortification and tedium. But also dancing to old INXS cassettes.
So far: 39 books hauled to the car; countless magazines binned. My study is going to be guest-ready by Friday, dammit!

Any of you have a sangria recipe you'd recommend? (The ones in my cookbooks aren't inspiring me.)

29/6/06 12:41 (UTC)On the one hand, I'm finding it wrenching having to make choices about what to keep (and in doing so, admit (1) what I'm not good at yet, (2) what I'm unlikely to become good at, and (3) what I originally became interested in because of a friendship or relationship that failed to pan out. On the other hand, what's left is still a scary-sizable-intimidating-exciting stash of unfinished projects and not-yet-studied books and music, so it's not as if I'm being deprived -- I think my psyche is just dense (in both senses of the word). It definitely still has trouble admitting I even need sleep... *rueful smile*
