Well. Straining a calf muscle wasn't in the plan, nor was shaking my head at [c] or kicking myself for [d] or worrying about the dog. But there have been some fun and fine things, too, including...
receiving more birthday cards and greetings.
winning the Pro Pelican Madrid bracket, in large part because I picked both underdogs to win their semifinals...
... making it my second win this year and my fifth in three. It's especially sweet (so to speak) in light of how much I've had to dial back in tennis-watching.
I was able to walk to the library earlier tonight...
... which led me to the copy of The French Ribbon on the New Books Shelves. Oh la la!
