pain in my neck

I woke up with a pinched nerve in my neck this morning, which means it has been hurting like a fiend whenever I try to move my head, and sometimes even when I don't.

It's been a while since I cussed the air blue while showering and dressing. (I don't normally think of my neck as being involved when I don a dress, but yup, it sure is.) It's going to make driving to lunch more challenging than it should be, and my host is a darling 86-year-old man who is soft-spoken. I habitually lean in close to hear what he's saying. Not an option today if this doesn't let up. Argh.

Also? Trying not to turn or tilt or toss my head in any direction whatsoever during sex? Both excruciating and excruciatingly funny. I am so going to do that to one of my characters someday.
