You've just reminded me of a wedding I attended years ago in Ann Arbor - a couple I worked with got married in front of their favorite tree. It was a combination of sweet and hilarious, as getting to the tree required wading through what seemed like acres of weeds on the hottest day of the year, prompting some truly memorable swearing from a normally silver-tongued companion.

Also, being outdoors resulted in incidents such as the best man swatting the groom on the back mid-ceremony in order to terminate a humongous blackfly.
