13/1/06 11:00Have heaps of work and need to be working through 'em, and yet, what do I want most to do right this moment? To spin a Snupin based on this passage from Thomas Hardy's Return of the Native:
(Have been listening to my local library's cassettes of Alan Rickman reading this. As I mentioned over in my general journal, I'm finding it wicked fun -- it's pretty anti-romantic, when you get right down to it, and yet, when I heard Rickman utter the above-quoted lines, I instantly thought, "Oh, Severus..." *shakes head at self*)
Right. Marketing letters, then errands, then the treasurer's report, then editing... *sigh*
"I have come," said the man, who was Wildeve. "You give me no peace. Why do you not leave me alone? I have seen your bonfire all the evening." The words were not without emotion, and retained their level tone as if by a careful equipoise between imminent extremes.
