two very quick lists

Things I don't like about being a grown-up:

* car still not ready
* can't claim the dog ate my assignments
* still getting zits
* figuring out where the money is going to come from
* mending. Especially sewing buttons back on.
* de-linting clothing
* not enough time to read/write/practice/sleep
* metabolism slowdown
* not enough stamina for all the parties and goings-on

Things I do like about being a grown-up:

* bad as my allergies are, they were worse when I was a kid
* have uppity but affectionate dog. (That saying about pets resembling their owners...)
* hair toys and cool earrings.
* getting/receiving mail
* I get to choose the stamps
* all of my assignments are interesting, and I get paid when they're done
* I'm better-dressed
* the BYM still thinks I'm hot
* yesterday's wedding reception was both lovely and fun

Today: two services, a brunch, and a friend's retirement party, with copyediting, research, and card-writing in the middles. Onwards!
