From the Feb. 26 New York Times [a bit behind, yes]:

They smiled as Ms. Kunin's grandchildren Sara, 7, David, 9, and Will, 11, recited "The Owl and the Pussycat," their smiles broadening as Will clearly negotiated the phrase "runcible spoon." The ceremony was, Justice Dooley said, "part Protestant, part Jewish and all John and Madeleine."

Or, as Ms. Kunin noted beforehand: "Of course this is a mixed marriage. It's not easy to blend New Hampshire and Vermont."

Meh. Too many years of watching local print and television outlets offer scores for "boy's basketball" have made the NYT's apostrophies seem downright perfect.

(Barneveld defeats Monroe 88-50 in "boy's basketball?" That must be some remarkable boy!)
