Thanks! Traffic was a bitch (I am apparently incapable of ever getting off the correct exit on I-75, no matter which city I'm in, and there was hella construction this past weekend) but the poetry workshop was fantastic. Now if I can only get my !@$#%# together so I can actually work on finishing said poems.... *rueful*
I dunno, really. I mean, I'm not overly fond of April (my cat will have been dead a year as of next week, among other things, and I'm still more than a little messed up about that), but I don't have it in me to hate a month that brings back 70 degree weather and Pesach and the return of chives and violets. And it's not like there's a kindest month...
(Though, if I really had to choose, I think I'm at my most mental in February. It's drab; I'm often stuck with some variation of bronchitis; Valentine's Day depresses too many other people; and by that point it's invariably clear that I've tanked on yet another set of New Year's resolutions...)
I'd go with June for the kindest month. The start of summer, but not yet roasting hot and without the boiling humidity of July and August; memorial day trips to the beach; and in an earlier time, the end of school!
Yeah, I could see February as the cruelest month. Its only redeeming quality, in my opinion, is that its short.
