Splendid rant by Untitled!Draco. You don't have to have followed the game for it to make sense. (On the other hand, if you're not following the game, you're missing some entertainingly vicious explosions of temper. Bill to Zach: "All those jokes they make about sodding Hufflepuffs being stupid as a skrewt's behind are bloody true, aren't they?")
On the sweeter side, over at
worlds_collide, there's a vivid Tonks and Ginny illustration that knocks my socks off.
During last night's stretch of Not Getting Things Done, I did get caught up in two of Arsenic Jade's newer stories, "Real World Experience" (SS/RL/HG) and "Rule of Law" (SS/HG and others). I've just realized that I have a definite kink for Overprotective!Severus (especially when it's in tandem with Undercommunicative!Severus), and that's the Severus of "Real." (I also like the glimpse of Severus and Remus together: "Despite the business-like efficiency of his tone, Severus' fingers were curled delicately over Remus' robes, and Zev could see the movement of muscle that told him Severus was sweeping his thumbs up and down in a calming motion.") As for "Rule of Law," it's long and plotty, and there's a bit of sex and heaps of snark, with Hermione giving as good as she gets...
