reversathon supplied me with some of my favourite comfort reads, including Djet and Neneh (Bill/Neville), The Measure of a Man (Bill/Remus), and The Quiet Man (Charlie/Remus), so I was looking forward to what this year's tide might bring.
Here are some of the pieces that have sparkled the brightest for me in this year's haul (I've not listed the authors, since they're all pseudonymous for now):
Whiskers and Wags
Harry/Draco
A reason why: the Snape-Harry friendship
Line that endangered my keyboard: "You understand that it is not wise to ask fashion advice of someone who normally wears robes?"
It Was An Accident, I Swear
Snape/Lupin and Harry/Draco
A reason why: Genghis the kneazle
Line that endangered my keyboard: "Remus, please suggest the word 'Dementor' to the boy before I finish the job you started."
Nice Work If You Can Get It
Snape/Lupin
A reason why: I can't remember when I've read a more beautifully anatomically detailed fic. Oh, my sides.
Line that endangered my keyboard: "Undoubtedly the worst element of the whole degrading and appalling mess was the agent and embodiment of his misery, Suzanne Marie Soleil."
In Clothes a Wantonness
Snape/Lupin
A reason why: Cross-dressing ain't my thang most of the time, but I've found myself rereading this -- there's an emotional hurt/comfort arc to it that pulls me in and holds me close.
Sex on the Beach

A reason why: seaweed bondage
Nettle Soup and Gooseberries

A reason why: veddy English village OCs
