Tagged by [insanejournal.com profile] xanthophyllippa: List seven songs that you're into right now. No matter what genre, whether they have words or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Then tag seven other people and see what they're listening to.

1. "Dove sei" from Handel's Rodelinda, sung by David Daniels. An aria I want to study/learn someday.

2. "I'll Stand By You" by the Pretenders. On a mix CD from [insanejournal.com profile] _lore. It's become part of my mental soundtrack as I work on part 2 of "Just Like Strangers Here."

3. "Attention" by the Academy Is. From the soundtrack to [insanejournal.com profile] busaikko's God of Things As They Ought To Be. I have a thing for fast songs about heartache.

4. "I Just Wanna Get Warm" by Mark Heard, covered by Dan Russell. "I'm all tied up with no time / Trying to do too much..."

5. "Dangerous" by Roxette. My theme song.

6. "I Touch Myself" by the Divinyls. I've always adored this song; the Harry/Draco vid set it to had me laughing my ass off.

7. "You Meaner Beauties of the Night" -- set by Michael East, sung by Emma Kirkby. The song opens with a soaringly glorious melodic line, and I first heard it soon after reading Jo Beverley's Devilish, one of my favorite romance novels of all time, in which both the hero and the heroine are top-tier control freaks. This past week has convinced me I need to start using a Franklin Planner again, and I'm pretty sure that's why Rothgar and Diana and their song resurfaced in my mind a few days ago.

[Apologies if you've posted on this already; right now I'm so damn fried the only thing I'm good for is ketchup jokes. (Here's one from the 'net: "It looked warm and dark, and juicy and inviting. I wasn't sure just what I wanted to do with it. I carefully pulled it apart with my fingers to look into it better. I knew how great it would be if I just started eating it. But I decided on ketchup for my burger.")]
