A couple nights after I turned in The Hounding of the Baskervilles to
snupin_santa, the ever-irrepressible
busaikko-san (one of its betas) sent me a soundtrack she had compiled for it. She admitted it was "darker than was meant to be... Truly, I meant to depict the wonders of Tonks, but my subconscious took over."
I don't write to music (my head is crowded enough as it is), but I couldn't resist sending her a "happier" counter-mix in response. Enough of you are familiar with my tastes that I didn't dare post it with the story. :-)
At any rate,
rexluscus started a discussion on story music earlier today, so I figured it was time to post these. Unfortunately, I don't have it in me to deal with converting my files from wmas to mp3s right this moment, which I know will irk at least one reader -- I'll try to get to it later (and same goes with revising/reposting/archiving the story itself...), but non-fandom obligations are currently kicking my arse ten ways from Tuesday. (I now have three stories I originally started with an eye to sending them to the L-S Secret Project, but they've all morphed into five-eared, eight-pawed bunnies I've no hope of wrestling into submission before March. ARRRRRRGH!)
(I know I should be grateful I have achaotic complicated brain, but getting stuff done would be nice. Oy uff da.)
