I am so sorry to hear of your loss, though fifteen years is a pretty good run for a feline, and I'm sure you gave her a wonderful life.

May the source of peace bring you comfort.

Oh, sorry.
I still miss Freddy, the lovably cantankerous kitty whom I grew up with. He died quite awhile ago, and I now have Pookie and Eliot to keep me warm and company, so it's a good kind of missing him.

Our dog is as much of a sweetie, so that's a consolation. And it's been a plus not having to fuss over whether doors are open or shut anymore. Still, sometimes when the bedclothes are bunched just so it makes me want to weep. But it's also nice remembering how Bat was -- and Abby is -- a perfect writer's pet: affectionate enough to make one feel absolutely wanted, yet calm enough just to hang out within petting reach while one types/dithers/reads.

Hope you are having a fine weekend! The photos E. posted suggest that much fun has been had. :-)

I'd love to have a dog someday. When the offspring are grown, maybe.

It was great fun! I'm repeatedly astonished at how quickly little boys become best friends.

I know it's years late, but I wanted to give my condolences for your loss. Bathsheba looked well-cared for, smug and content. She probably knew she's good for you.

Also, I wanted to thank you for being there in a time of need.

She was such a fine, mellow cat. I miss her to this day. The night before we had to put her down, she managed to jump up onto the rim of the bathtub, the better to nuzzle my hand -- that's the kind of cat she was.

*hugs you hard*
