(Why I look very much Not Awake: because I felt compelled to stay up past 2 a.m. trying to clean and repair my keyboard. Thank goodness for USB ports and my old iMac. . .)


Purchased by my pal John at a First UU auction back in November 2003. He picked the yarn; I chose the pattern. It's a heavy beast: double-stranded crochet; size G (4 mm) hook; 30" x 62". Finished it last night.

Caron 4 ply acrylic, worsted weight. (Inexpensive and machine washable.)

Machine washable = a very good thing. I think I need to knit baby presents soon (for reasons that may be obvious from previous discussion) and am debating between hats and blankies. And it was handy to be able to go to the bookshelf and find a book specifically on "knitting for babies with four legs and two"!

When they're born in winter they do. Our winter highs are in the 60s and 70s, mostly, but lows are around freezing.
