"...and then I see his eyes are grey..."

Yes?

ETA: Blimey, that was quick. Ten points to the lady in the Northeast. :-)

Retro Harry/Draco in the kitchen by [insanejournal.com profile] fanart_fairy. My. Goodness.

Rondo Veneziano by Abby. Hermione/Snape smut. An excerpt:

"Who are you kidding, Granger?" she asked the mirror. "Since when have the words 'simple' and 'straightforward' ever had anything to do with Snape?"

The mirror remained totally silent after the way of Muggle mirrors. Hermione was beginning to find that she liked a looking glass that didn't talk back. Replacing the mirrors in her flat was on her list of Things To Do when she got home.

Greatness Thrusts by [insanejournal.com profile] marksykins. Based on Twelfth Night. Wicked!

*rude noises*

MS Publisher? Driving me batshit.

Also, I still feel like I've got a tentacled hairball lodged in my lungs. Doing wonders for my temper, that.

Good things? Good things, they do abound.
- All y'all. Even those of you who don't or can't quite believe how much you matter.
- The love brought me fried calamari for lunch.
- I made pumpkin bread last night from the Fannie Farmer Cookbook and it turned out yummy (Joanne, I'll post the recipe in a bit, after I get some actual work done).
- I thought up two new recipes that I might submit to a contest, if I can work out proper measurements in time.
- A new friend graciously agreed to Britpick the hydra. The beast may still turn out a failure, but it's not going to be from lack of trying or guts.
- Yet another head popped up on said hydra, but it cracked me up. I may even use it.
- [livejournal.com profile] dearsanta plotbunny poked an ear in the door, to my relief. (I can't dance with it yet anyhow, but I was getting worried.)
- Almost done with a submission I want to get out by the end of the week.
- I brought my copy of Everyday Blessings to Monday night's board meeting, just to show off during check-in. Someone asked someone else to read my two poems aloud. The someone else is a very good reader, and it was a unexpected gift, sitting there hearing him read my words to the rest of the room.

And that be the state of the Peg for now. Off to slay the Loch Errand Monster...!
