I don't think we need to be getting too rule-bound here.

I'd totally read even drastically AU Alys/Bunter.

Say . . . a piece where Bunter and Alys are in charge of organizing a party. And they have different visions of how it ought to go, and start working to undermine each other. And the rivalry leads to hot sex in the butler's pantry.
